A large Victorian brass bound rosewood writing slope with original fitted interior c.1850. The figured rosewood veneered exterior with brass reinforced corners and corner straps, matching brass bindings running front to back and engraved cartouche to the centre. The box opening and folding over to form a writing surface with black felt covered surface, each side opening to reveal an internal storage compartment. The larger compartment with three concealed drawers hidden behind a panel with hidden release catch.
