Large Victorian Oval Gilt Mirror
A large Victorian timber gilt framed oval mirror with the original gilt finish and bevelled edge mirror glass c.1875. The broad oval frame with stylised shell design border running continuously around the frame and complementing beaded decoration to the mirror edge. Pediment to the top with shell to the centre and surrounded by floral and scroll design decoration; complementing apron to the base. Original quarter plate mirror glass in excellent condition and original gilt finish to the frame. Original boarded back with secure fixings for wall hanging. Presented in excellent origin...al condition with no damage or repairs. Measures 31" wide x 2.5" deep at the frame with a maximum depth of 4.5" at the pediment x 48" high. Stock number 41749.
