Large Victorian Country House Log Bin
A large top quality Victorian coopered mahogany country house log or coal bin with original galvanised base liner c.1890. Constructed in strips of solid mahogany with rounded front and sides, the back flat for sitting against a wall. Three deep securing bands made from solid brass to the outside and cast brass mounted mahogany carrying handles set to each side. Sat on small moulded feet, original half depth galvanised liner to the interior to hold debris. Holds a good quantity of logs or coal; presented in superb condition with a rich colour and original patina. Measures 21.5..." wide x 18" deep x 18" high. Stock number 41051.
