Large Mid 19th Century Dublin Wall Mounted Thermometer
A large mid 19th Century zinc scale wall mounted thermometer c.1860. Made by Mason of Essex Bridge, Dublin (w.1838-77 at this address*). Original thermometer tube with flat sided cistern to the base. Zinc scale bearing the maker's name to the arched top. Polished mahogany mount with moulded edge and brass hangers. Superb original condition, full working order. Measures 3.5" wide x 1.75" deep x 18" long. * Mason of Essex Bridge, Dublin, opticians and instrument maker's to Lord Lieutenant, Irish Court & His Excellency. Stock number 36631.
