Large Early Walter Moorcroft Leaf and Berries Lamp
A large Moorcroft leaf and berries lamp base signed Walter Moorcroft, rewired ready for use c.1940's. The bulbous base with solid top, brass post supporting the lamp holder set to the centre. ...The sides decorated with a continuous band of tube lined leaves and berries painted in vibrant autumn reds, yellows and soft greens. The background painted in teal green at the top running into blue at the base, sat under a rich glaze. Fully rewired and sat on an ebonised base from the Moorcroft factory; the base of the lamp behind the plinth signed Walter Moorcroft. Presented in perfect unrestored condition with no damage or repairs. Measures 12" high or 16" including lamp fitting x 9" maximum width x 7.75" diameter at the foot. Lamp shade shown is optional.
