An immaculate Victorian solid polished oak tantalus and card box with original crystal ware in immaculate unused condition c.1890. The golden figured oak case with hinged fall front and lifting lid, o...riginal brass carrying handles to the side and brass shield to the lid. The lid lifting and the front falling by key release with Bramah lock to reveal a superb fitted interior. Four recesses to hold the hobnail cut whiskey tumblers along with four recesses to hold the port glasses, unusual matching hobnail cut oblong decanters in recesses either side of the box. Two drawers to the centre with brass fitting, the top drawer with original playing cards and bone counters, the lower drawer fitted for cigars. Presented in immaculate unused condition with not damage and perfect crystal ware. Measures 14.25" wide x 6" deep x 10" high. Stock number 38247.
