An immaculate Victorian silver traveling clock by highly regarded maker Mappin & Webb, London 1898. The solid silver case with classical embossed design decoration to all sides, cast swing handle set to the top and hinged opening door to the rear; sat on small bun feet. Circular porcelain enamel dial with blued steel hands set behind a convex glass; high quality French movement with platform escapement. Fully overhauled and working movement. Bears the makers mark for Mappin & Webb along with hallmarks to all sections. Presented in immaculate unused condition with a deep shine.
