A fine quality Victorian 8 day miniature carriage clock retailed by Howell & James c.1890. The polished brass case with bevelled quarter plate glass and matching view window to the top. Hinged opening door to the rear for access to wind and adjust the time. 8 day movement with cylinder escapement in full working order, white porcelain enamel dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands, bears the retailers name Howell & James to the dial. Original double sided winding and adjusting key. Presented in immaculate fully restored condition. Measures 3" high x 2" wide x 1.5" deep. Stock number 36...732.
