A George III period book matched burr figured walnut chest of drawers with herringbone banding c.1770. The book matched veneered top with moulded edge, herringbone banding and crossbanding to the o...uter edge. Two over two drawer formation, the drawer fronts matching the top with moulded edges, herringbone banding and crossbanding. Each drawer with quality period brass fittings and matching lock escutcheons. Moulded plinth to the base with bracket feet set below, figured oak sides and substantial construction throughout. Rich colour and polish throughout and presented in excellent condition. Measures 37.25" wide x 20.5" deep x 32" high. Stock number 39813.
