Georgian Pigtail Candlestick
A George III period hand forged steel and fruitwood pigtail candlestick c.1780. The primitive turned fruitwood base rising to meet the hand forged steel spiral stem. Pusher set to the side that can be worked up the spiral stem to lift the height of the candle as it burns down. Small carrying spike set to the top rim. Excellent original patina and presented in full working order. Measures 7.5" high x 3.5" diameter at base x 1" diameter stem. Stock number 38472.
