A Small George III period oak cased `cottage` longcase clock by well regarded Lancaster maker William Parkinson ( 1739 - 1799) c.1760. Well proportioned quality case standing just 6`7" tall. Solid figured oak case with mahogany cross banding and trim throughout. Dentil cornice to the hood flanked with mahogany pillars; matching quarter columns to the trunk. Engraved brass and silvered dial with date aperture. Thirty hour movement striking on a bell to the hour.Very original. Fully overhauled. 12 months guarantee.
