Georgian Oak Close Stool
A Georgian period oak close stool with faux drawers to the front and original fitted interior c.1710. Hinged planked top with moulded under edge giving a cornice effect. The front with faux drawers each with moulded edges and original axe drop brass fittings. Moulded base rail with small bun feet to the base and circular inlays to the sides. The hinged lid opening to reveal an original fitted interior with hole for a pan and candle box to the side (can easily be removed for other uses). Excellent original colour and patina and presented in original condition, it makes an ideal occ...asional table or bedside table. Measures 20.5" wide x 17" deep x 21" high. Stock number 40629.
