A George III period figured ash and pollard oak crossbanded traveling or jewel box with fitted interior and wonderful original colour and patination c.1820. Figured solid ash construction with poll...ard oak crossbanded edges and lock escutcheon. The hinged lid opening to reveal an original fitted interior with fold out mirror to the lid and a lift out tray to the base with original divisions. The tray removing to access the storage compartment below. Wonderful rich colour and patination, presented in original condition with a deep shine. Measures 9" wide x 7" deep x 5" high.
