A George V period solid silver sovereign and stamp case in immaculate condition, hallmarked Birmingham 1915. Oblong form with rounded corners and sides. Hanging loop to the top with push button rel...ease catch for opening sat in between. Opens to reveal an immaculate interior with a spring loaded engine turned retaining aperture for holding the sovereigns and a second aperture with matching engine turned finish to hold the stamps. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths W.H. Haseler, famous for producing most of Liberty's silverware and for works designed by Archibald Knox. Presented in excellent undamaged condition with a deep shine. Measures 2.25" wide x 1.25" high x 0.5" deep. Stock number 40340.
