George V Silver Bottle Coaster
A George V period solid silver bottle coaster with turned mahogany base, hallmarked Sheffield 1927. The heavy quality solid silver top with scalloped swept rim and dished formed base... below in George III style. Ring turned base section in solid mahogany in excellent unstained and straight condition, the interior large enough to hold a standard Champagne bottle. Bears the makers mark for Sheffield silversmiths Aitken Brothers along with clear hallmarks. Presented in excellent condition with a deep shine. Measures 7" diameter x 5.5" internal diameter x 2.5" high. Stock number 39883.
