George V Engraved Silver Double Sovereign Case
A fine quality George V period solid silver double sovereign case with decorative engraved decoration, hallmarked Birmingham 1912. The oblong case with rounded corners and ends, deep cut engraved d...ecoration to both sides, plus hanging loop to the top. Press button release to open the spring loaded hinged lid. The lid opening to reveal a fitted interior with two sections to hold the sovereigns and half sovereigns; each with engine turned spring loaded discs to hold them in place. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths I S Greenburg along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Presented in immaculate unused condition with a deep shine. Measures 2" wide x 1.25" deep x 0.5" high. Stock number 41939.
