George III Style Silver Candlesticks
A matching pair of large fine quality George III style silver candlesticks with weighted bases, hallmarked Birmingham 1958. Superbly made with heavy oval bases, the silver returning around the edge of the bases to the undersides. Reeded lined edges, the bases rising to meet the flared oval columns above with oval urn shaped mounts above forming the generous candle holders. Removeable sconces to each with lined edges to match the base. Each bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths Barkers, along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Both presented in immaculate condition with no war...e or damage. Each measures 10.5" high x 6.75" wide x 4.5" deep at the bases. Stock number 39949.
