A difficult to find early example of a George III period silver wine funnel, hallmarked London 1770. The dished top with pierced base and flared lined rim forming the strainer, original clip to the... side. Push fit removable spout sat below with V shaped angled end. An unusually early example bearing the makers mark for London silversmith Walter Brind along with clear hallmarks to the top section, no hallmark to the base, but matching and tested as silver. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 4.75" long x 2.75" diameter at the rim. Stock number 39834.
