George III Silver Cream Jug
A George III silver cream jug by Ann Smith & Nathaniel Appleton, hallmarked London 1768. The solid silver jug with domed base, flat rim to the edge with waisted vessel above. Pouring spout to one side and scrolled design handle to the other side with engraved thumb plate. Decorated with panels of climbing roses, forget-me-nots and daisies. Bears the makers' mark for London silversmith and jug specialists Ann smith & Nathaniel Appleton along with clear hallmarks. Presented in excellent original condition. Measures 2.5" diameter x 3.5" wide including handle x 4..." high. Stock number 40695.
