George III Rush Nip
A George III period hand forged iron rush nip with candle holder in superb condition c.1750. Tripod foot with small pads to the feet ends, simple column above. Scissor action nip to the top for holding the piece of rush, candle holder to the side with dished sconce and diamond shaped hole to the candle holder for pricking out the dead wax. Presented in excellent condition with an original patina. Measures 6" x 6" at the foot x 10" high to the top of the nip x 8" to candle holder. Stock number 39916.
