A fine quality George III mahogany stick barometer by Ronchetti of Manchester c.1820. The figured mahogany veneered case with architectural top and moulded edge to the centre section, turned cistern ...cover to the base. Engraved silvered scale with alcohol action thermometer set to the side and vernier marker; mahogany framed hinged glazed door sat over. The mercury action movement with visible tube fully overhauled and working. Bears the makers name for Ronchetti, Manchester. Presented in superb original condition with a deep shine and original patina. Measures 37.5" long x 5.25" maximum width x 2" maximum depth. Stock number 37877.
