George III Figured Walnut Bachelors Chest
A fine quality George III period walnut bachelors chest with fold over top and original brassware c.1780. Figured and book matched veneered top with crossbanded edge, folds over and opens out to form a large writing surface. Two over three drawers to the front with veneers and crossbanding to match the top, pull out loppers either side of the top drawers to support the surface. Sat on a moulded base with bracket feet below; figured timber sides and substantial oak drawer linings. Original brass fittings and steel locks, presented in immaculate fully restored condition with a rich colour and p...olish. Measures 41" wide x 22.5" deep x 32" high. Stock number 38605.
