A superb large George II yew wood oval gate leg table with wonderful original colour and patina c.1740. The planked oval top with broad central section and large rounded drop leaves set to each sid...e. The leaves folding up to form an oval surface, substantial base with decorative turned legs, twin fold out gates to each side. Superb original condition with original hinges and no alterations; wonderful colour and original patina. Seats up to 10, very sturdy and useable. Measures closed 68" wide x 28" deep x 29" high, and opens to 68" wide x 78" deep. Stock number 40030.
