George II Shallow Proportioned Oak Dresser
A stylish shallow proportioned George II period oak three drawer dresser in superb original condition c.1740. Planked top with rounded edge and deep moulding below. Three drawers each with moulded edge and original decorative brass handles along with matching lock escutcheons. Scalloped apron sat below the drawers with tapering pad foot legs to each end and matching legs to the rear. Panelled ends with dowelled joints to the frame and original elm drawer linings and back board. Presented in superb original condition with a wonderful rich colour and polish; unus...ually shallow unaltered proportions making this piece ideal as a console table.
