George II Oak Refectory Table.c.1740

A George II oak six seater refectory table with two drawers and original patina c.1740.  The two plank top with cleated ends sat over a moulded top rail with two drawers to one side.  Turned cannon column legs set to the corners supported by a moulded H base stretcher.  Pegged joints throughout, original hand forged iron axe drop handles to the drawers; superb original colour and rich patina throughout.  Very sturdy and useable, sits 6 people with ease.  Measures 64" long x 30" wide x 29" high.  Stock number CS181
