A George II period oak box coffer with three faux drawers to the front and original bracket feet to the base c.1750. Planked lid with moulded edge sat over planked sides with visible tenon joints to the corners; the front with three faux drawers, each with cockbeaded edges and turned knobs. Moulded plinth to the base with original bracket feet below. The hinged lid opening to reveal a clean interior. Makes an ideal lamp or side table. Presented in good condition with an excellent colour and original patina. Measures 18.5" wide x 17" deep x 18.5" high. Stock number 41753.
