French Trompe l'oeil Woodcock Pâté Terrine
A collectable French Trompe l'oeil Woodcock in a pie crust design pâté terrine, in superb condition c.1900. One of a number of hunt inspired pie or pâté terrine's created by the French potter. This example with Woodcock to the lid forming the handle against a crust background. The matching base with embossed crust design and makers mark to the base. The lid lifting to reveal a white glazed interior, presented in perfect unrestored condition with. Measures 6" wide x 3.5" deep x 4" high. Stock number 41537.
