Fleetwood Polished Brass Bulkhead Marine Barometer
A top quality polished brass cased bulkhead marine barometer retailed by Boston & Co of Fleetwood c.1920. The polished brass case with mounting flange to the rear and cast bezel to the front. An enamel dial with rapid indicating aneroid movement sat behind (used in seafaring instruments for accuracy), quarter plate bevelled edge glass with central reading. Bears the makers name Sestrel to the dial along with the retailers name Boston & Co, Fleetwood (shipping company formed in 1885 in Hull). Fully serviced and full working order. Presented in immaculate condition wit...h a deep shine to the case. Measures 7.5" diameter x 3" deep. Stock number 38898.
