Fine Victorian Oil on Canvas by William Mellor 'On The Rothay'

A fine Victorian antique oil on canvas by well regarded artist William Mellor 'On the Rothay' Ambleside, the Lake District. c.1890. Superbly painted with water running over the rocks, sheep grazing to the side on a late summers day. Signed to the lower left. Very good colours and condition. Sat in a quality old swept timber gilt frame. Measures overall 36.5" wide x 27" high x 3" deep.
