Fine Victorian 8 day Repeater Carriage Clock with Hand Painted Porcelain Panels
A fine brass cased 8 day striking and repeating Paris made carriage clock with decorative painted porcelain dial and side panels. C.1890. Decorative brass case with beeded trim and reeded carry handle to the top. Beveled edge glass window to the top, face and rear door. Fine quality hand painted floral dial and matching side panels with gilt relief probably by Hadley's Worcester. Quality movement striking on a gong on the hour and half hour, repeater button to the top, and alarm feature with subsidiary dial to mark the alarm time to the dial. Fully overhauled movement, porcelain dial and side ...panels in mint condition. Small chip to the edge of the front glass, hardly noticeable. 12 months guarantee. Measures 5.75" tall ( 7.5" with handle up ) 4.25" wide. x 3.75" deep. Stock number 32928.
