A fine quality mid Victorian burr walnut jewellery box with original fitted interior C.1880. Well figured burr walnut veneered exterior with ebony strung edges. Original fretted and engraved brass carrying handle to the top and matching lock escution to the front. Hinged opening top, opens to reveal an original velvet and leather lined interior with two lift out trays, decorative gilt trimmed edges. Superb condition with a deep shine and original patina. Working lock and key. Measures 8" wide x 6" deep x 5" high. Stock number 34550.
