A fine quality Victorian burr walnut bracket clock with brass and silvered dial and 8 day movement with quarter striking c.1890. The two piece domed top with carved decoration and moulded edge forming a cornice. Canted corners to the front of the case with secondary cornice sat over the arched top door, moulded plinth to the foot. Burr walnut veneers throughout, decorated with ormalu trim to the front with matching finials to the top and decorative sound frets to the sides. Brass and silvered dial the roman numerals, cast spandrels to the corners and time keeping adjustment dial set to the a...rch. 8 day movement with anchor escapement and ' ting- tang' quarter chiming (see video) Fully serviced movement and presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine and original patina.
