Fine Quality Victorian Quilted Silver Mug
An immaculate fine quality mid Victorian solid silver mug with embossed quilted design decoration, hallmarked Sheffield 1868. The sides of the mug with cross hatched engraved decoration and the inner panels embossed forming a quilted effect. Each panel engraved with a stylised leaf design motif. Beaded rim to the top and matching decoration to the foot, plus scroll design handle set to the side with acanthus leaf design decoration to the top. Bears the makers mark for Sheffield silversmiths Martin & Hall along with clear hallmarks. Presented in immaculate unused condition with... a perfect gilt lined interior. Measures 2.5" diameter x 4" wide including handle x 3" high. Stock number 41380.
