Fine Quality Victorian Mahogany Stick Barometer
A fine quality Victorian period figured mahogany stick barometer by Chadburns of Liverpool C.1880. Slim figured timber case with moulded arched top and onion cistern cover to the base. Glazed view window to the bone scale with inset mercury action thermometer and vernier marker. Visible tube to the movement secured by decorative brass fittings, remoted adjuster for the vernier marker. Fully overhauled movement, presented in superb condition with a rich colour and deep polish. Measures 37" long x 4" maximum width x 3" maximum depth. Stock number 35119.
