A fine quality gilt brass cased 8 day late Victorian Paris made `Grand Sonnerie` carriage clock in superb condition. c.1890. The immaculate gilt brass case with hinged carry handle to the top and moulded edge to the top forming a small cornice. Matching moulded edge to the base with a shallow apron forming a foot. Quarter plate bevelled edge glasses to all four sides and matching window to the top. White porcelain dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands. The 8 day `Grand Sonnerie` quarter striking the hour followed by the quarter on a pair of gongs, original jewelled platfo...rm with adjustment leaver and repeater button to the top.
