Fine Quality Victorian Burr Walnut Baby Sutherland Table
A fine quality mid Victorian burr walnut 'Baby Sutherland' table with inlaid top C.1880. The drop leaf top with book matched burr veneers and a fruitwood strung line joined by four inlays set to each corner; moulded outer edge. Turned twin pedestal ends sat on a moulded foot with original brass and porcelain castors below, matching gate action supports. The top opening to form an oval coffee table height occasional table. Superb quality and condition with a deep shine, no damage or repairs, very sturdy and useable. Measures 21" wide x 6" deep x 20.25" high when closed. The table is 28" x 2...1" oval when open.
