A fine quality and imposing oil on canvas by highly regarded artist Marcel Dyf 'Grand Bouquet' C.1960. Born in Paris, Marcel Dreyfus initially became an engineer but soon had a change of career to an... artist. He exhibited extensively in France at the top galleries as well as in the USA, Holland and the UK. He died in 1985. This large oil on canvas depicts a vase of flowers sat on a table against a soft blue and grey ground. Typical of the artist is the depth of the painting with deep impasto to the flower petals, making them just as impressive from a distance as they are close up. Signed to the bottom right 'Dyf' and presented in perfect condition in the original gallery's frame with a limed effect washed finish. Bears the remnants of the original Frost & Reed gallery label with serial number to the rear. Frost & Reed is one of London's best known galleries who were for many years Dyf's agent in London. Measures including frame 45" wide x 38" high. Stock number CS11.
