Fine Quality Georgian Walnut Chest on Stand
A fine quality George II period walnut chest on stand sat on carved cabriole legs c.1740. Dental moulded cornice sat over a two over three drawer formation, each with book matched figured veneers and ...crossbanded edges; decorative engraved backplate brass fittings and escutcheons. Canted corners with reeded decoration, figured timber to the sides. Sat on the original stand with three drawers carved decoration below the central drawer. Matching carved decoration to the cabriole legs set to the corners, matching legs to the rear. Presented in superb condition with a rich colour and polish. Measures 44" wide at the cornice x 21" deep x 66" high. Stock number 37842.
