Fine Quality George III York Mahogany Stick Barometer

A fine quality George III period figured mahogany stick barometer by John Wisker of York, fully restored and working c.1820.  Architectural pediment to the top with decorative turned and carved finial to the centre. Glazed door below with fruitwood and ebony strung edge, sat over the engraved silvered scale. Slender trunk below with feathered veneers and a stringing down the centre of each side to match the door; visible barometer tube set to the centre.
