Fine Quality George III Bachelor's Chest
A fine quality George III period walnut bachelor's chest with fold over top and original brassware c.1770. Book matched burr veneered top with folding over surface opening to form a writing surface, lopers pulling out below to support the surface. Four graduated drawers below with book matched burr veneers and crossbanded edges. Original superior quality brass handles and matching lock escutcheons. Moulded plinth to the base with original bracket feet below. Presented in excellent condition with a rich colour and deep polish. Measures 37" wide x 20" deep x 31" high. Stock number 37841.
