Fine Quality French Porcelain Panel Carriage Clock
A fine quality French repeating carriage clock with decorative hand painted floral porcelain panels c.1885. The polished brass case with with bevel edge glass view window to the top and folding carry handle. Stepped edge below forming a cornice and plain uprights with beaded inner edge. Stepped platform to the base with apron foot below. Floral blush coloured hand painted dial with gilt relief, matching panels to the sides. The fully overhauled 8 day Paris made movement with platform escapement, strikes on the hour and half hour, repeater button to the top of the case. Bears the retailers name... Hall, Manchester to the dial. Presented in excellent condition with a deep shine and in full working order. Measures 4.5" wide x 3.75 deep x 5.75" high or 7.5" high with handle up.
