A fine quality early Victorian rosewood Wellington chest with two secretaire style sets of fitted collectors drawers c.1850. Moulded apron sat below the surface with pilasters set to each side of the drawers, moulded corbels to the top of each. The right hand pilaster forming a locking bar to secure the seven graduated drawers each with moulded edges and original turned knobs. The top drawer with original fitted and lined interior for jewellery, the two base drawers each with fall fronts and containing three satinwood faced velvet lined and fitted collectors drawers. Sat on a plinth foot, supe...rb figured rosewood veneers throughout. All locks stamped VR, working lock and original key to the locking bar. Presented in superb original condition with a deep shine and rich colour. Measures 49" high x 25" wide x 17.5" deep. Stock number 38003.
