Fine Quality Early Victorian Silver Jug by Bernard
A fine heavy quality solid silver jug by highly regarded makers Edward & John Barnard, hallmarked London 1853. Superbly crafted and weighing in at over 5.5 troy oz, slightly bellied base and flared rim, ornate Rocco design handle set to the side and pouring spout to the other side. The base with scrole design feet and hand chased decoration, matching hand chased decorative panels to each side. Bears the makers mark for London silversmiths Edward & John Barnard along with clear hallmarks. The finest quality presented in immaculate unused condition with a deep shine. Measures 3"... diameter x 5" ide spout to outside of handle x 3.75" high. Stock number 40742.
