A fine original oil on canvas by highly regarded artist Benjamin Williams Leader c.1900. Superbly painted in typical high quality Leader style with superb detail to the trees and wonderful autumnal Scottish scenery with mellow colours. Signed by the artist to the bottom left. Benjamin Williams Leader, born Benjamin Leader Williams was born in Worcester in 1831 and became a talented and highly regarded artist as well as being a friend of Constable. His works were exhibited at the Royal Academy every year until 1922. Today, some of his works can be viewed at the Victoria and Albert museum and t...he Tate Gallery, London. This work superbly painted and presented in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. Sat in a quality swept timber gilt frame. Measures 35" wide x 26" high x 2" deep. Stock number CS52.
