A fine original oil on canvas by by highly regarded Victorian artist Alfred Vickers ' A Blowy day on The Isle Of Man'. Alfred Vickers senior is a self taught artist known for his light and sparkling style, often compared to Boudin. This superbly painted example in typical Vickers style, with a deep blue and bright sky, trees blowing in the wind on a summer day with figures in the foreground. Signed by the artist to the bottom left and subject inscribed to the rear in the artists hand. Presented in the original timber gilt frame, the painting in excellent clean condition with no damage or re...pairs. Measures including the frame 29" wide x 22.5" high x 2" deep. Stock number 38132.
