Fine George III Period London Stick Barometer

A Fine George III period mahogany stick barometer.c.1780. Made by George Adams of Fleet Street, London(w.1750-95). Silvered engraved scale with vernier marker. Broken arch pediment with bone finial to the top. Visible tube down to a turned cistern cover base. Full working order. Superb colour, condition and patina. A very fine example by a top maker. Measures 5" x 3.25"deep x 40.5"long. *George Adams is listed as optician to King George III. Working at the the Fleet Street address from 1773-95.
