Fine George III Mahogany Stick Barometer

A fine George III period mahogany stick barometer with silvered scale and swan neck pediment by Francis Amadio, London C.1800. Feathered book matched veneers to the moulded edge case, with swan neck pediment to the top and turned cistern cover to the base. Engraved silvered scale with vernier marker and red tinted alcohol thermometer set to the side. Mercury action movement in full working order. Engraved with the makers name and address, F Amardio, N.18, Red Cross St. Barbican, London. Excellent condition, full working order.
