Fine George III Mahogany Stick Barometer

A fine quality George III period mahogany stick barometer by George Adams, Fleet Street, London c.1790. Architectural pediment to the top of the feather banded veneered case with moulded outer edge; domed turned cistern cover to the base. Engraved silvered scale set to the top with veneer marker, bears the makers name George Adams maker to his Majesty. Visible mercury tube set to the centre of the case held in by polished brass securing straps.
