A Fine George II period oak and mahogany cross banded 8 Day longcase clock.c.1750. Brass and silvered dial with date aperture and seconds count. Ringed winders and decorative spandrels to the corners.... Made by Henry Deykin of Worcester and numbered 460. Strikes on a bell to the hour. Reeded columns to the case repeated to the architectural pediment hood. Fruitwood inlay to the arch. Full working order. * Henry Deykin (b.1715-79) freeman of Worcester from 1734. One of a few makers who numbered his clocks up to 1447 known.
