A fine quality antique carved walnut chrysanthemum design porcelain dial aneroid barometer by sought after maker Maples of London C.1890. Deep carved & turned moulded polished walnut case with chrysanthemum design border. Decorative white porcelain dial bearing the makers name, Maple & Co, London. Sat behind a bevelled edge glass, mounted in a polished brass bezel and centre reading marker. Original aneroid movement in full working order. Superb condition with a deep shine and good colour. Measures 9.5" diameter x 2.5" deep. Stock number 34300.
